Amazon now has a Boeing fleet

Amazon shipped its airfreight future on their own.

A mazons logistics division takes a big step and has signed a lease agreement for a small fleet of transport planes. Boeing 767 is providing services in North America to bring the goods more quickly to customers. The leasing partner Amazon confirmed that the shipping giant has ordered 20 aircraft for terms of between five and seven years.

The announcement makes it clear that Amazon will increasingly take control in shipping. Previously, the company relies on Logisitkpartner as UPS and FedEx. Amazon thus reducing package runtimes and reduces costs. 2014 was Amazon 8.7 billion US dollars for logistics – 31 percent more than in 2013.
