Apache modernized and updated to version 2.4 for its 17 years

The Apache Foundation has benefited yesterday from his 17th birthday to announce the release of Apache 2.4, the first major update for the HTTP server since the release of version 2.2 in December 2005.

If it remains the majority (about 65% of domain names), the open source server finally fill the technology gap in fast growing competitors who have adapted to the Web considerable changes in the last six years, as Nginx (pronounced engine- x) which won nearly 10% market share in 5 years.
