Archos: new smartphones and new tablets at IFA

A few days before the official opening of the IFA furniture manufacturer Archos has unveiled its new range of products.

After presenting the 50c and 45c Platinum smartphones Oxygen, the constructor throws this time the veil on the Platinum 50b. This terminal has an IPS panel of 5 inches, is positioned on the entry. It is powered by a quad core chip and can accommodate two SIM cards. We find a main camera of 8 MP and a front camera of 2 MP. Sold for 129 euros, the 50b Platinum will be available in black, blue or pink and will ship with Android KitKat and a micro SD card up to 8GB.

The manufacturer also trying for the first time in Windows Phone smartphone with the Archos 40 Cesium. The latter features a 4-inch screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip 200. It will be available for 79 euros in the next month. Sold in October for 129 euros, the tablet Archos 80 Cesium will sport an 8-inch slab without being Full HD since its definition is of 1280 x 800. It will be powered by an Intel quad core processor. Both devices will welcome Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.1 respectively.

In October, Archos also launch the commercialization of 101 Oxygen, a Full HD 10-inch Android tablet equipped with quad chip Core ARM Cortex-A17 with 1.5 GB of memory and 16GB of internal storage. It will be available for 199 euros.
